Skyview hasn't had much luck against Middleton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hawks will host the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Middleton will be up against a hot Skyview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over Nampa on Thursday. Considering the Hawks have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Makenna Shamy made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

Khloe Howard
| 04/09/26 @ Nampa | 4 |
| 03/24/26 @ Caldwell | 3 |
| 03/21/26 vs Lewiston | 3 |
| 03/11/26 vs Kuna | 3 |
| 04/07/26 vs Vallivue | 2 |
In other batting news, Khloe Howard was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Makayla Lytle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Skyview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .425. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nampa only posted a batting average of .276.
Meanwhile, Middleton faced Vallivue in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Vikings fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 18-16. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Vikings, who until this contest were averaging 2.94 runs allowed.
Haylee Hultner made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kendyl Chronister, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Middleton's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-3. As for Skyview, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Skyview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .413. However, it's not like Middleton struggles in that department as they've averaged .418. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Skyview suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Middleton in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
