The Coolidge Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Seton Catholic Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coolidge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Coolidge came up short against Florence and fell 57-48.

Despite their loss, Coolidge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Preston Dees, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Dees is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jensen Carter, who posted ten points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seton Catholic). Everything went their way against Globe on Tuesday as Seton Catholic made off with a 78-53 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Sentinels have posted since January 6, 2024.
Coolidge better keep an eye on Kj Fauske. He was instrumental in Seton Catholic's win, going 8 for 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and five assists. Those 32 points gave Fauske a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Morris, who earned seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Seton Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Coolidge has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Seton Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Coolidge didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Seton Catholic in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Seton Catholic's Dylan Alvidrez, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Coolidge still be able to contain Alvidrez? There's only one way to find out.
