Pike County is 8-2 against New Brockton since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Pike County Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the New Brockton Gamecocks at 6:30 p.m. Pike County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pike County had no problem doing just that on Monday. They secured a 47-41 W over the Bobcats. Pike County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
In what's become a running theme this season, New Brockton gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They really took it to Daleville for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-28 win at home. The win was nothing new for New Brockton as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Brockton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabriella Eubanks, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Eddins, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Pike County's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for New Brockton, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
Pike County took a serious blow against New Brockton when the teams last played back in January, falling 69-17. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pike County was down 42-8.
