The Colbert County Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Rogers Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colbert County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Colbert County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Clements 10-0. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won six in a row.

Makayli Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kylee Holland was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Faith Matlock was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Colbert County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are 8-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Rogers was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hatton 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.
Chloe Thigpen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren Nash, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Alona Davis, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Rogers' record now sits at 11-14. As for Colbert County, they now have a winning record of 13-12-1.
