Miller County extended the longest winning streak in A Region 1 this week by beating Terrell County, 34-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Pirates.
Mitchell County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on Stewart County. Jaquan Williams ran for 81 yards in the win.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bruce Bryant threw for 11 yards and Jocquil Chester had 11 yards receiving.
Mitchell County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bryant has thrown for 267 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Chester has eight catches for 184 yards. Williams leads the league in rushing with 663 yards.
A big matchup in A Region 1 this week will be when Seminole County takes on Randolph-Clay. The Indians are in second place, while the Red Devils are in third place.
