Coleman has gone 8-2 against Beaverton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Comets will head out on the road to square off against the Beavers at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Coleman has four straight victories, Beaverton has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Coleman needed a bit of extra time to put away Carson City-Crystal. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 7-6.

Isabelle Lewis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last six contests. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elley Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Klaira Sysak, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Coleman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Beaverton's offense. They came up short against Ogemaw Heights on Thursday, falling 13-0.
Coleman's record is now 14-16. As for Beaverton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Beaverton's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Coleman has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Beaverton, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Coleman keep running through batters, or will the Beavers buck the trend?
Coleman skirted past Beaverton 11-10 in their previous meeting on Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
