Basketball Recap: Harrison Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Harrison put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Talawanda Brave to the tune of 57-23. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Harrison had a senior duo take command as Shelby Piepmeier dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards and Alli Robertson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 boards. Robertson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Abby Smith, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Harrison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Harrison pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Talawanda, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison will take on Norwood at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Talawanda, they will face off against Taylor at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
