Mike Young of Kennard-Dale ran for the longest rushing play in York-Adams 2 this season against East Pennsboro last week. Young scampered for 74 yards on the play and finished with 260 on the day as his team topped the Panthers.
Marcus Josey and Gary Gobernik provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Shippensburg. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Northeastern's dynamic duo of Josey and Jowan Lewis-kearse proved to be unstoppable against the Greyhounds, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Josey threw for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns and Lewis-kearse had 84 yards receiving. Gobernik helped Northeastern's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 76 yards.
The Bobcats' dynamic duo of Josey and Lewis-kearse proved tough for Shippensburg to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Diego Simms was a key player and the best on defense this week as Northeastern lost to Eric Foust's team. The 5-foot-8 senior.
Young was a force in the backfield as Kennard-Dale beat East Pennsboro.
He went 11-21 with 1 interceptions.
Josey put up the best numbers in passing as Jon Scepanski's team lost to the Greyhounds.
Young was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Justin Fitchett added to the ground attack by rushing for 26 yards.
Lewis-kearse was the best wideout in York-Adams 2 this week as the Bobcats fell to Shippensburg.
Northeastern's Josey and Gobernik have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Josey has thrown for 446 yards this season, while Gobernik has 6 catches for 166 yards. New Oxford's Wesley Beans leads the league in rushing yards with 431.
Andrew Loucks' team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Rams beat Todd Stuter's team 27-20 earlier in the week.
