Baseball Recap: Palmer Ridge Wins Going Away Against Grand Junction Central

Palmer Ridge not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2024. They put the hurt on the Grand Junction Central Warriors with a sharp 11-3 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Fletcher Sexton, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Meider, who scored two runs and stole Three bases.

The win got Palmer Ridge back to even at 1-1. As for Grand Junction Central, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmer Ridge will take on Palisade at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grand Junction Central, they will square off against Ponderosa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
