Clayton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden McDaniel, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Sampson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Vanoss, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Clayton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mill Creek at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Mill Creek is ranked 226th, while Clayton is ranked 234th). Vanoss will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Asher at 8:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
