On Friday, Sierra was beaten by Sacramento 52-20. Sierra has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Sierra lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Grady. Despite the final result, he gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Lamar Radcliffe, who rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Radcliffe was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. Darrius Moore was another key contributor, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Sierra's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Central Catholic and 7-3 Manteca (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.3% over those games). As for Sacramento, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
Sierra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sacramento will take on Escalon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Escalon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last four matchups.
