AAA Region 7 recap October 22, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to White County, who defeated 40th ranked North Hall, 21-7.
The Warriors scaled the state rankings by moving to 117 from 162 this week, the biggest jump in AAA Region 7. White County climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Trojans 21-7.
Fannin County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rebels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Trevor Stone has thrown for 1,169 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Noah O'Neal has 29 catches for 584 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Fannin County takes on Buford. The Rebels' offense has racked up 103 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Wolves have allowed only 37 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Hall takes on West Hall. At the moment, Bob Christmas' team is in second, while the Spartans are in fourth.
Buford extended the longest winning streak in AAA Region 7 this week by beating Dawson County, 42-10. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
