The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past Utah Military Academy - Hill Field 39-18. The squad ran away with 30 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Merit Preparatory Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stella Sutherland, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutherland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Moody, who scored ten points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Merit Preparatory Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merit Preparatory Academy will challenge Waterford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they will head out on the road to square off against Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
