Last Tuesday, McCormick didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Saluda, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. Despite the win, that was the fewest points McCormick has scored all season.
McCormick's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darius Houston, who scored 18 points. The game was Houston's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Terrence Cartledge was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Lincoln County entered their tilt with Edmund Burke Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lincoln County put the hurt on Edmund Burke Academy with a sharp 66-42 win on Tuesday. That looming 66-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lincoln County yet this season.
McCormick pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
McCormick was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 54-47. Does McCormick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
