Executive Education Academy Charter School was dealt a 71-12 defeat at the hands of Schuylkill Haven. While losing is never fun, Executive Education Academy Charter School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Schuylkill Haven is ranked 195th).
When it comes to explaining why Executive Education Academy Charter School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sylis Styles. Despite the final result, he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Schuylkill Haven was led to victory by Aiden Myers and Niko Carestia. Myers rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Carestia rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Carestia's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Schuylkill Haven also got a significant boost from Colton Reber, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Executive Education Academy Charter School to a paltry 159 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Schuylkill Haven's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out three times before it was all said and done. Aidan Clauser was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Executive Education Academy Charter School bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.7 points per game. As for Schuylkill Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Executive Education Academy Charter School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Schuylkill Haven will take on Williams Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The pair might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games.
