The Elkhart Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Stanton County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Elkhart is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Elkhart pushed their score all the way to 67 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sublette.
Meanwhile, Stanton County's game on Friday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Sublette by a score of 48-41. The victory was just what Stanton County needed coming off of a 72-42 defeat in their prior game.
Stanton County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Crane, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alvin Solis, who scored 13 points.
Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Stanton County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Elkhart came up short against Stanton County in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 51-46. Thankfully for Elkhart, Kyler Crane (who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
