The Springstead Eagles will square off against the Wesley Chapel Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springstead is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Friday, Springstead sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Gulf.

Kylee Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Springstead saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylana Lyons, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Wesley Chapel came out on top against Cypress Creek on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Wildcats blew past the Coyotes 13-3. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.
Lucy Cavall looked comfortable as she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Skai Crocitto was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Garrison, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Wesley Chapel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cypress Creek only posted an OBP of .346.
Wesley Chapel's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Springstead, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
Wesley Chapel's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Springstead has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Wesley Chapel, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Springstead keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
Springstead beat Wesley Chapel 6-3 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
