Basketball Recap: Tre Winters Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

There's no place like home for Adairsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 66-61 W over the Ringgold Tigers on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Adairsville, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adairsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tre Winters, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Winters' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Benjamin A Abernathy was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards.

Adairsville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. As for Ringgold, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Adairsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-62 victory against Blessed Trinity on the 28th. As for Ringgold, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-49 win against Cartersville on the 28th.
