Potomac Valley II recap Oct. 3, 2012
Tucker County extended the longest winning streak in Potomac Valley II this week by beating Southern, 44-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Moorefield took down Berkeley Springs 59-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Tygarts Valley's 6-foot-0 quarterback Brandon Pritt is the league leader in passing yards this season with 229. On the ground, Pocahontas County's Kyler Doss has rushed for 569 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Andrew Morrison. The Pocahontas County star has six catches for 92 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Tucker County takes on East Hardy. A.J. Rapp's team has allowed 64 points this season, while the Cougars have given up 49.
Pendleton County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,942 from 11,564. The advance stemmed from a 39-18 victory over the Wildcat last week.
