The Salina Central Mustangs fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Eisenhower Tigers on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Salina Central just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
It was another big night for Pierce Blue, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds for Eisenhower. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blue has scored all season. Chase George was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Salina Central has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Eisenhower, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salina Central will take on Goddard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
