The McNair Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Landmark Christian War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for McNair: they have been struggling with 12 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while the War Eagles have snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
Last Tuesday, McNair was beaten by the Raiders 60-33.
The losing side was boosted by Kamar Gooden, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Kente Taylor, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Landmark Christian fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Titans on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 77-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Landmark Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
McNair took a serious blow against the War Eagles in their previous meeting back in January, falling 68-31. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point McNair was down 38-15.
