There's no place like home for the Circle Christian Centurions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They breezed by Orlando Science at home to the tune of 66-23. That looming 66-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Circle Christian yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Circle Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Bell, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lucas Valdes, who scored 20 points.
Orlando Science's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Gipson, who scored seven points along with three steals. Kenneth Reyes was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Circle Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Orlando Science, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Circle Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Elite Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Elite Prep Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 back in December of 2023. Orlando Science won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Crooms Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
