It was a good run, but the Thayer Central Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Exeter-Milligan/Friend.
Thayer Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Souerdyke, who scored 18 points along with eight steals. Souerdyke has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Heitmann, who scored 19 points.
Thayer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Thayer Central will be playing at home against Milford on Thursday. Milford is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they will head out on the road to square off against Johnson-Brock at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Johnson-Brock's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
