The Vail Christian Saints lost against the Gilpin County Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Vail Christian was dealt a 47-19 defeat at the hands of Gilpin County. Vail Christian has struggled against Gilpin County recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Vail Christian still got an impressive performance from Noelle Razee, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Razee has scored all season.
Gilpin County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was KAILEE STARKEY, who scored 12 points along with three steals. STARKEY also posted two blocks for the first time this season. ANNABELLE ALOEL was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Vail Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Gilpin County, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Vail Christian will face off against Caprock Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gilpin County will take on Arickaree in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at.
