This season hasn't been kind to the Thomasville Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 16th match. They were beaten by Uwharrie Charter 54-9 on Wednesday. Thomasville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-7.
Uwharrie Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abbie Gudino, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Staples, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Thomasville's defeat was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Uwharrie Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
Thomasville will head out on the road to challenge the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Uwharrie Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 15 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
