Larry Nichols Turns in Season-Best Effort
Larry Nichols produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bowie to the win on Friday. Nichols rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 200 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes.
The win (which was Bowie's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Nichols and Bowie will welcome Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kelton Barney Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Kelton Barney's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 106+ rushing yards. He rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (117.5) per game.
Lamar is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Barney and Lamar will challenge Sam Houston on Friday.

Vudrico Roberson continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his fourth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 121 rushing yards. He rushed for 200 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.
On the year, Roberson has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 137.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Darrion Bowers Goes Supernova in Bowie Victory
Darrion Bowers posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 127 rushing yards in the fifth games prior.
If history really does repeat itself, Bowers might just drop another big game when he faces off against Arlington on Friday. Bowers rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Colts duked it out back in October of 2023.

Carey is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Sam Houston on Friday. When Carey last faced the Texans back in October of 2023, he threw for 350 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
