Orange Glen took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Tri-City Christian Eagles to the tune of 55-12. With the Patriots ahead 48-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Orange Glen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abraham Cervantes, who rushed for 101 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. Aldair Samano was another major influence, as he rushed for 60 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Orange Glen was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-City Christian only rushed for 95 rushing yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Orange Glen's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Noah Reynoso with two.

Despite the loss, Tri-City Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Haber rushed for 82 yards and one score, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and one touchdown. Haber really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.

Orange Glen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-0 defeat against Morse on the 28th. As for Tri-City Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 36-6 loss against The Meadows School on the 29th.
