The Bellevue Wolverines lost against the Lake Washington Kangaroos back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bellevue lost to Lake Washington on the road by a decisive 72-54 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bellevue in their matchups with Lake Washington: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the loss, Bellevue still got an impressive performance from Selene Morrell, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Morrell scored a full 46.3% of Bellevue's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Syesha Simanton, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lake Washington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Hazen the next time they take the court. Bellevue will host Hazen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lake Washington will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
