The North Central Panthers will challenge the Brownsburg Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. North Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, North Central didn't have quite enough to beat Kokomo and fell 6-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabriella Stevens was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Hosler, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Brownsburg came out on top against McCutcheon on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Bulldogs blew past the Mavericks 13-4. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Etta Schroering looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tatum Hunt, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Paddock, who went 2-for-5 with one home run.

Brownsburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Brownsburg, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. North Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Brownsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
