Baseball Recap: Richland Has No Trouble Against Brookville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Guilfoyle, Richland was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Brookville Raiders with a sharp 18-4 win. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Caden Robertson, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Ozog, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Richland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .551. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Richland's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Brookville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Richland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Windber on the 26th. As for Brookville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Punxsutawney at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chucks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
