If the Sparta Academy Warriors were feeling good off their 54-32 takedown of the Jackson Academy Eagles last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sparta Academy fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Sparta Academy lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Robinson. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Robinson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Murfee Williams, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Sparta Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Southern Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-7.
Sparta Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southern Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
