Academic Magnet put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Summerville Green Wave. Given the Raptors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Green Wave are ranked 58th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Academic Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Summerville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academic Magnet will head out to challenge Lucy Beckham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academic Magnet's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Lucy Beckham's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Summerville, they are taking a road trip to take on Cane Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summerville will be up against Cane Bay's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.2 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
