Even though the Chippewa Chipps scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, the Keystone Wildcats still came out on top. Keystone took their contest against Chippewa 67-60. The win made it back-to-back wins for Keystone.
It was another big night for Grant Hartley, who scored 32 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Hartley is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Liam Goran was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Keystone now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Chippewa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keystone is on the road again on Friday and plays Firelands at 7:00 p.m. on February 16th. Keystone knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Firelands likes a good challenge. As for Chippewa, they will head out on the road to face off against Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coventry is coming into the match with five straight defeats at home, meaning Chippewa will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
