The New Milford Green Wave are taking a road trip to take on the Joel Barlow Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. New Milford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
New Milford will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Masuk on Wednesday. The Green Wave came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 12-7.

John Coniglio was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Staller, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
New Milford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Masuk only posted an OBP of .389.
Meanwhile, Joel Barlow came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Lancers. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly four runs.
Will Gregor made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Eli Kress looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on TJ Baer, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
New Milford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Joel Barlow, their record now sits at 11-1.
Both New Milford and Joel Barlow just can't seem to miss. The Green Wave have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Joel Barlow struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
New Milford couldn't quite finish off Joel Barlow in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 3-1. Can the Green Wave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
