It was a good run, but the Hodgeman County Longhorns unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 44-28 bruising from Meade. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hodgeman County has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Hodgeman County still got an impressive performance from Casey Schaffer, who scored 12 points.
Meade found their leader in underclassman Sayler Stapleton, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Stapleton hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Carlie Martin, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Hodgeman County's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Meade, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Hodgeman County will be playing in front of their home fans against Pawnee Heights at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Meade, they will head out on the road to challenge South Gray at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. South Gray has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 670 points over their last ten contests.
