Softball Recap: Ridgeview Wins Going Away Against North

Ridgeview barely beat North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Ridgeview was the clear victor by a 15-6 margin over North on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack haven't had any issues with the Stars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kylie Navarrete tossed a big game, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Ridgeview got a massive performance out of Ana Fuentes, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and one double. Those triples were Fuentes' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Lopez, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Ridgeview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Ridgeview picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-3-1. As for North, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will square off against Mira Monte at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North, they will face off against Valley Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
