Astoria/VIT lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being KATE STAMBAUGH, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of HANNAH HORWEDEL, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Astoria/VIT has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Illini West, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.
Astoria/VIT will face off against Camp Point Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Illini West, they will face off against Rushville-Industry at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rushville-Industry is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
