Johnny Groves continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Edgewood Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Allison, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Edgewood Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Autauga Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood Academy will take on Lee-Scott Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lee-Scott Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Edgewood Academy in Alabama (Lee-Scott Academy is ranked 40th, while Edgewood Academy is ranked 314th). As for Autauga Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evangel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
