The biggest upset of the week belonged to Woodland Park, who took down 152nd ranked Mitchell, 46-38. Matt Cox threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 147 yards in the win.
Wasson moved up to 160 from 187 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A South Central. The Thunderbirds climbed the ranks as a result of losing to Discovery Canyon 42-7.
Zeb Foster made the biggest impact on defense this week as Coronado lost to Lewis-Palmer. The 6-foot-0 sophomore recorded one fumble.
Aaron Wright was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 372 yards as the Marauders bested the Marauders. Teammate Preston Williams added to the ground attack by rushing for 36 yards.
Hinton was the best wideout in the league this week as Woodland Park defeated Mitchell. Hinton racked up seven receptions for 125 yards. Adam Primrose helped Woodland Park's passing attack out by catching two balls for 53 yards.
On the ground, Archie Malloy III's team's Wright has rushed for 1250 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is DJ Hanes. The Wasson star has 39 catches for 712 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Cougars take on Joe Roskam's team. Coronado is in fourth place, while the Panthers are in second place.
The Rangers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,772 from 9,004. The improvement was the result of 40-20 victory over Bob Lizarraga's team last week.
