After a string of three wins, the Hillcrest Christian Saints's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 82-58 defeat at the hands of South Pasadena. While losing is never fun, Hillcrest Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Tigers are ranked 114th).
South Pasadena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Miles Nowe led the charge by scoring 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nowe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Arias, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Hillcrest Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for South Pasadena, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Hillcrest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Pasadena also has no future games currently scheduled.
