Public Safety Academy's Dan Wood rumbled for the longest rushing play in Warrior (8 Man) this season in his game against San Jacinto Valley Academy last week. Wood ran for 71 yards on the play and finished with 138 on the day as his team defeated the Wolves.
Public Safety Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Will Mathews's team beat San Jacinto Valley Academy 52-14 earlier in the week.
The Phoenix's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Josh Brackenridge threw for 64 and one touchdown and Wood had 38 yards receiving. On the ground Juwjuan Brackenridge chipped in 209 yards. Andrew Diaz helped Public Safety Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 18 yards.
Nuview Bridge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dane Futrell has thrown for 320 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Dane Futrell has five catches for 134 yards. Futrell also leads the league in rushing with 424 yards.
A big matchup in Warrior (8 Man) this week will be when Garry Ward's team takes on Nuview Bridge. As it stands, the Wolves are in fourth, while the Knights are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when San Jacinto Valley Academy takes on Nuview Bridge. The Wolves have allowed 156 points this season, while Jermaine Williams's team has given up 82. San Jacinto Valley Academy allowed 52 points last week as it lost to Public Safety Academy.
