While it was all tied up 17-17 at halftime, Monmouth United was not quite Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s equal in the second half on Tuesday. Monmouth United took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]. Monmouth United has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Meanwhile, Princeville came tearing into two weeks ago's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] 75-54. Princeville's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Monmouth United's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Princeville, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Monmouth United barely slipped by Princeville when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 50-49. Will Monmouth United repeat their success, or does Princeville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
