Softball Game Preview: Central Springs Panthers vs. Northwood-Kensett Vikings

Central Springs has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northwood-Kensett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Central Springs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Northwood-Kensett's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Central Springs is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering West Fork just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Northwood-Kensett fell victim to Newman Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Knights. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Northwood-Kensett's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central Springs, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2.
