Basketball Recap: Julian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Julian won the last time they faced Harlan and things went their way on Thursday too. The Julian Jaguars came out on top against the Harlan Falcons by a score of 54-43. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars who have now won three contests in a row.

Harlan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derion Pope, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Jackson, who earned 12 points.

Julian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Harlan, they moved to 4-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Julian will take on Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Harlan, they will challenge Lighthouse College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
