Mainland hasn't had much luck against Seabreeze recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Buccaneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sandcrabs at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Mainland turned things around against Matanzas on Thursday. They skirted past the Pirates 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cameron Cope was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Bond, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Mainland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Seabreeze came out on top against Christ's Church Academy on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Sandcrabs were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Sandcrabs, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Seabreeze also got a great performance from Tommy Hayes as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Merrick Campbell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Sam Hebert was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
The victory got Seabreeze back to even at 4-4. As for Mainland, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 2-6.
Mainland suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Seabreeze when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Buccaneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
