The Hondo Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Brackett Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hondo is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Hondo's 24-10 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were beaten by Bandera 94-38 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Hondo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1519th, while Bandera is ranked 583rd).
Meanwhile, Brackett's game on Friday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a hard 66-50 fall against D'Hanis. Brackett has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Hondo has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Brackett, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
