Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Silver couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 69-60 to the Espanola Valley Sundevils on Wednesday. The Fighting Colts' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Silver's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Espanola Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.

Silver does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Espanola Valley, they and Artesia will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. Espanola Valley has given up an average of 55.7 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
