The Carol City Chiefs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past Goleman with points to spare, taking the game 77-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Mikaili Taylor was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 24 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Jahquori Lombrage was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Carol City and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Goleman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Carol City will stay at home for another game and welcome Coral Reef at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Nathaniel Wesley and Lombrage. As for Goleman, they will head out on the road to challenge Varela at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
