Carroll has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Wilmington Hurricane at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Carroll came up short against Badin and fell 47-38. While losing is never fun, Carroll can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Badin is ranked 188th).
Meanwhile, Wilmington also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Washington by a score of 49-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wilmington has scored all season.
Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wilmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Everything came up roses for Carroll against Wilmington in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 67-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carroll since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
