Softball Recap: Hope Christian Comes Up Short

Hope Christian lost against Valley back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies came up short against the Vikings, falling 19-9. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Siena Sturgis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Raelynn Michel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hope Christian's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Valley, they moved to 7-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Hope Christian will challenge Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will face off against Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
